THE DOUBLE RED DUKE WINE SOCIETY

Château Pesquié lies in a stunning setting at the foot of the famous Mont Ventoux in the southern Rhône Valley.

As pioneers for the Ventoux the Chaudière family have, over the years, transformed the estate into what is now, without doubt, the leading property in the region. As recognition of this Frédéric was recently appointed as President of the Ventoux Wine Appellation. Using bio-dynamic farming principles and very careful use of oak-ageing the wines are stunning. Hot days with cooling winds at night which come down off the mountain results in beautifully fresh ‘cool’ fruit.

Dinner is two courses of Autumnal flavours: Pigeon breast with poached & pickled pear, and smoked almonds and a braised ox cheek to follow with wood roasted root vegetables and mashed potato.

An evening of great food and paired wine hosted by proprietor Frédéric Chaudière.
