Dubbed “The Pie King” by Jamie Oliver, Calum Franklin is an award-winning chef and author and one of the most exciting culinary talents in the UK. Following his appointment as Executive head chef of Holborn Dining Room in 2014, Calum has combined deeply traditional cooking techniques with clever flavour combinations to create a comforting yet contemporary British menu. In 2018, Calum designed and opened Holborn Dining Room’s Pie Room, a treasure trove of savoury delicacies full of intricate creations. Calum’s beautiful latticework and creativity in pie making have earned him a cult following on social media. In 2019 Calum was awarded Best Hotel Chef in the UK at the prestigious Catey Awards.
