In the Cotswolds

Stay with us

Set among the rolling Cotswold hills, our four countryside pubs with rooms give handsome old buildings a fresh chapter. Think timber beams, uneven floors and a proper bar at the centre of it all – the kind of place where the fire is lit and no one is in a hurry to leave.

The very best food and drink

Eat & drink

A country escape should always involve a well-kept pint and something generous on the table. Whether you’re calling in for one at the bar or settling in for supper by the fire, our kitchens champion seasonal produce from farmers and makers we know by name. Sunday Roasts are non-negotiable and served with all the trimmings. Mornings call for strong coffee and breakfasts that set you up for muddy boots and long walks.

What’s On

Events

We’ve never been ones to turn down a reason to assemble a crowd. From hotly contested pub quizzes to chef-led suppers, summer barbecues and the odd bat-and-ball rivalry, our calendar is rarely quiet. Whether you favour thoughtful cooking or a guided tour through the wine list, our events add a bit more fun to your week – locals and weekend escapees alike.

At The Chefs Counter: Grilled Wild Sea Bass

This is a delicious way to cook any type of fish, but especially seabass as the skin becomes an umami bomb from hitting the high heat from the fire. The sauce can be used for lots of different grilled or steamed fish and especially with grilled scallops. For the…
