The Double Red Duke has found a home at Bicester Village, bringing a touch of Cotswold character along with it. Thoughtful British design, seasonal cooking and plenty of charm – it’s the sort of place that feels easy from the moment you walk in.
Drop by for a long lunch, settle in for an early supper or simply claim a seat at the bar for a cocktail once the shopping bags start to feel heavy. We’re open from morning through to evening, and ready whenever you are.
There’s also a proper Afternoon Tea on offer, with house-made scones and cakes, neatly cut sandwiches and tea poured just as it ought to be.
Our kitchen is very much the centre of things. From bar snacks to proper puddings, we take the best of what’s in season and turn it into honest cooking – generous, comforting and made to be enjoyed.
The Double Red Duke awarded 4th place in the National Pub and Bar Awards Industry’s Choice Award
Chefs swapped tongs for bats, critics traded notebooks for wickets, and the annual Chefs vs Critics cricket match returned once again to the Cotswolds` very own Theatre of Dreams. 🏏
A competitive day (at least in spirit) saw some of hospitality`s finest battle it out on the pitch. While the cricket wasn`t always textbook, the @cote__citron beers were refreshingly cold and the company more than made up for it.
Finally, a big thank you to our chef & press attendees 🏏

A meeting of minds, materials and craftsmanship.
When interior designer @georgie_pearman sat down with @zardi_and_zardi, the conversation centred around storytelling through interiors. Layering colour, texture and heritage to create spaces with warmth and character.
Pictured here @thewildduckewen, the Frampton Verdure and Triumph of the Gods tapestries by Zardi & Zardi bring depth and quiet drama to our Cotswold pub with rooms, which opened last year. Thoughtfully chosen, beautifully made and integral to the atmosphere of the pub 🌿

Last week at @thewildduckewen, we welcomed @finisterre and a wonderful group of women to celebrate the art of repair with artist and repair specialist @brockandrollin, whose beautifully considered approach gives well-loved garments a longer life.
The day began with a wild swim led by @rewildswimclub and @river_girl_, followed by a thoughtful repair workshop where guests learnt the craft of square darning and ways to extend the life of their clothing.
A day of cold water, creativity, good conversation, seasonal food and slow moments in the Cotswolds, exactly the kind of gathering we love to host!
Thank you to everyone involved 🌿
