This was a hugely anticipated chef series event, being sold out weeks before. Avi is head chef at Fitzrovia based Pahli Hill Bhandra Bai and his one off menu, modelled on the cultural melting pot of regional cuisines of India, was very popular. I think the fact he was a finalist in this year’s Great British Menu wasn’t lost on our guests either.
With lip smacking dishes including a Mangalore Bun & Dorset Crab Sukkha, Fennel Seeds, Degghi Chilli & Fresh Ginger as well as a Homestyle Fish Curry, Halibut, Mussels, Tomato, Green Mango, Tamarind & Coconut no-one was disappointed.
