Our guaranteed check-in time is from 3pm until 10pm on the day or arrival. Please be aware that the Double Red Duke will be closed from 10pm and we do not operate a late check in facility unless pre-authorised. Earlier check in may be possible at charge of £25, please make us aware of your desired time prior to your arrival.


We ask you to vacate all bedrooms by 11am on the day of your departure. Should you wish to check out at a later time, this must be arranged prior to your stay and may incur additional charges.


It is indeed! Breakfast is served in our restaurant area from 7.30am until 10am.


Yes, we offer a bouquet of seasonal flowers from £25 or you can preorder a bottle of wine, champagne or sparkling wine from our wine list which you can find in our “Menus” section. Please contact our reception on 01367 810222 should this be something you wanted to do.
Celebration cakes can be ordered from local Blake’s Bakery directly, they will drop your cake off at our reception and we can have this waiting in your room for arrival.


The lovely Shepherd’s Hut nested in our garden has been refurbished to offer a relaxing feel to anyone who is in need of a little pamper. We offer range of treatments; you can view full list in the “Treatments” section on our website. Or book via this link.
As we only have one treatment room/bed we can only offer treatment to one person at the time.
Massages are not suitable for anyone who may be pregnant, Maternity Facial can be offered as an alternative as long as the person is at least 12 weeks along with the pregnancy; please make us aware of any allergies and injuries at the time of booking. Once booked, there is 24-hour cancellation policy to keep in mind should your plans change, if you cancel within this period the full price of the treatment will be charged.


At the Double Red Duke we only accept card payments.


Whilst our ground floor rooms are accessible by wheelchair, we are a listed building and so floors are uneven & there are often small steps, so unfortunately, we cannot say our rooms have full disabled access although we always try our best to help & accommodate any requirements. There is no lift.
Most dining areas are wheelchair accessible and we have a disabled bathroom on the ground floor.
Please notify us in advance of any requirements. Our team are on hand to offer any assistance necessary.

Yes, we are! We offer 3 Family rooms suitable for families of up to 5.
Unfortunately, not all room types can accommodate an extra bed or cot so please do let us know at the time of booking. Baby cots are free of charge and there is a fee of £30 per night per child for an extra bed.
We offer children’s menu with plenty of options. Please make us aware of your children’s ages at the time of booking.


We have some dog friendly bedrooms, all located in our gorgeous barn annex. “Paw Print” charge of £25 per dog, per night will be added to your final bill. We provide dog bed and bowl but ask that guests bring own pet towels for muddy paws.
Well behaved dogs on leads are welcomed in our cosy bar, where they can join you for a meal. Due to the close proximity of tables, we do not allow dogs in our dining rooms or Chef’s Counter.
Please let us know at the time of booking if you are planning on bringing your four-legged friend with you so that suitable room and/or table can be allocated.
