AWAKEN THE MAKER – WILLOW MAKING WITH MOLLIE MCMILLEN

Mollie McMillen is a professional basketmaker and bark-and-plant weaver who draws inspiration from the tranquillity of woodland and rural landscapes. Self-taught, Mollie became a full-time maker and has recognition for her work from the Worshipful Company of Basketmakers, the traditional guild founded in 1569. Throughout the workshop, guests will be guided through the process of weaving plant supports, learning about willow’s tenacity, flexibility and captivating colours.
